We’re looking for a detail-oriented, capable Staff Accountant.
Duties include:
- Reconcile bank accounts
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries
- Process invoices and expense reports for payment
- Assist in the customer billing process
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Participation in speical projects as needed
Staff Accountant
Prepare daily Income Journals for Resort & SIS
Perform daily audit on room revenue, outlet promo checks etc.
Liaison with CAO regarding variances, reconciliation, and proper booking for entries.
Liaison with operational departments to answer questions, review policy, and provide guidance on accounting procedures
Weekly review of house accounts, reconciliation of member house accounts to their enumerate counterpart as necessary
Membership
Daily review of requests for support from members either by phone or email
Process payments by check as necessary, ensure payments made are reconciled to the Income Journal for the day
Provide monthly statements
Assess quarterly fees
Monitor balances for outstanding accounts, determine delinquent state of membership accounts as necessary
Qualifications:
Requirements:
Must have 2-4 years of related Accounting work experience. Strong understanding of components of a balance sheet, income statements, and statements of cash flows and the effect of journal entries on these statements. Solid understanding of receivables, payables, and computerized accounting systems. Proficient with MS Office, able to handle a high volume and work in a fast-paced environment while producing consistent and accurate results. Ablility to multi-task. Previous knowledge of working with Home Owners Associations is a plus.
