Vector Solutions is seeking a Staff Accountant to be an important contributor to the Accounting and Finance team. The main duties for this position are Cash activities, month-end close duties and general ledger account maintenance and reconciliations. This role will be a key building block in the future growth of the company and will be exposed to all aspects of accounting.
What You’ll Do:
- Regularly maintain detailed reconciliations of all assigned balance sheet accounts.
- Support an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year end close.
- Communicate account fluctuations for month-end accounting review.
- Ensure accounting compliance with GAAP, federal and state regulations.
- Prepare and analyze ad-hoc report requests as needed to support the business.
- Assist with acquisition integrations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field required.
- Knowledge of GAAP, relevant laws, regulations, procedures, and policies.
- Experience using ERP application, G/L, A/P and A/R · Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Manage workload in a dynamic and fast paced team environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products with advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
- Effectively manage multiple tasks and easily adapt to change where necessary.
