Rita Technology Services, a leading Florida based IT Search & Consulting firm has an immediate need for a Systems Administrator for our client in Clearwater, FL. This is a full-time (direct hire) position with a growing company.

Please note: Only local (Clearwater/Tampa Bay) area candidates will be considered for this position.

Summary:

You will be responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. You will participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. You will also be the conduit between systems admin and networking team internally.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Active Directory Domain Administration & Policy
  • PowerShell, VBScript, & Batch automated tasks
  • Wintel systems that support systems infrastructure
  • Appliances that support system infrastructure
  • VSphere 5.1, 5.5 Environments w/ Multiple ESXi Clusters
  • Exchange 2010, Secure Email, SPAM Filter, & Messaging
  • Basic Storage, Backup & Database administration tasks
  • Assisting systems architects with engineering of solutions for various project and operational needs.
  • Citrix XenApp 6.0, XenDesktop 7.5
  • Enterprise Faxing technologies similar to Rightfax
  • IIS Web servers
  • Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
  • Will assist in programing and troubleshooting CISCO routers, switches
  • Will be the conduit between systems admin and networking team internally
  • Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks.  Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale.
  • Perform daily system monitoring (PRTG Network Monitor), verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled tasks.
  • Assist daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot escalated issues from various teams.
  • Repair and recover from hardware or software failures.  Coordinate and communicate with impacted users or entities.
  • Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary.
  • Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.
  • Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.  Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.
  • Maintain data center environmental and monitoring equipment.
  • Weekly rotated 24/7 on-call duty with 9 other team members.
  • Occasional travel required.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor (4-year) degree or 2 – 4 years systems administration experience.
  • Active Directory
  • VMware VSphere
  • Solid Windows Server knowledge including Windows Server 2008-2012
  • Knowledge of SAN’s
  • CISCO Router, Switching knowledge
  • Strong verbal communication skills, customer service minded personality.
