Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of tax regulations, ensuring compliance and accuracy in all financial reporting. This role requires a proactive approach to managing tax-related tasks, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify tax-saving opportunities and ensure accurate reporting.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions related to tax accounting, including payroll and general ledger entries.
- Perform account analysis and reconciliations to support the financial statements.
- Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation for tax preparation and provide guidance on tax-related inquiries.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact clients or the organization.
- Utilize accounting software such as Quick books, Lacerte, and other tools for efficient record-keeping and reporting.
Requirements
- Two years minimum experience in tax preparation(required).
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- Proven experience in tax accounting or a related field is essential.
- Strong knowledge of double entry bookkeeping principles and financial acumen.
- Familiarity with payroll processes and general ledger accounting is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in financial analysis techniques and account analysis skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
