Job Description:

Position Summary:

The wage range for this position is $55000 – $60000 / year with the actual pay dependent on your skills and experience as they relate to the job requirements and the location where you will be performing the job. As part of our commitment to a flexible work schedule, this role does not have a set amount of vacation per year.  This is a full time position with benefits. This is a hybrid role, with 3 days in the Tampa office required. (No relocation assistance offered.)

Position Summary:

You will be responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of tax accounting analysis and reports to support monthly, quarterly, and annual filing requirements. Your role will work closely with colleagues in our Tampa facility and Connecticut headquarters, as well as collaborate with our outsourcing provider.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the annual tax provision process
  • Gather and analyze data to support tax forecasting and reporting, including interaction with any outsourced service providers, external and internal auditors
  • Review and support of tax information included in all SEC filed documents
  • Manage global FIN 48 files and support for audit
  • Research tax statutes, regulations and tax accounting guidance
  • Manage internal and external SOX requests
  • Complete Special Projects as needed or as advised by Director of Tax Accounting
  • Support internal and external audits including preparation of audit support and responding to auditor inquiries

Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Accounting, Finance & Business)
  • 3+ years of professional experience in tax accounting; SOX experience preferred
  • Detail and deadline oriented
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical, computational, and mathematical abilities
  • Competency in MS Office, databases, and accounting software
  • Knowledge of financial and tax systems; SAP, Hyperion and and OneSource Tax Provision preferred
