Facility Operations/Event Staff: Facility/Venue Management

TORONTO BLUE JAYS FLORIDA OPERATIONS
JOB DESCRIPTIONTD Ballpark (Facility) OperationsCoordinator, coordinates the day-to-day maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment at TD Ballpark through computer-based programs and physical audits, as well as assist in the coordination and fulfillment of repair requests.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate activities for games, camps, and other events with all impacted departments to ensure that services are provided in an efficient and timely manner 
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and consumable goods to ensure adequate amounts through our FMX inventory system
  • Check and maintain all maintenance equipment to ensure it is in working order 
  • Monitor facility work order requests for other departments and communicate status
  • Coordinate with staff to assist in, set up and tear down of all events
  • Coordinate and schedule building preventative maintenance program with Senior Manager 
  • Develop relationship with contracted vendors, be onsite contact and audit their work upon completion
  • Complete general maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning of TD Ballpark, serving the comfort and safety of guests
  • Daily monitoring of Building Automation system
  • Inspect and maintain safety protocols and systems i.e. emergency lighting, generator, tripping hazards, ladders, hurricane preparedness
  • Communicate with Clubhouse staff daily to ensure their needs are being met
  • Complete and submit documentation of facility warranty claims
  • Meet with maintenance staff weekly to develop, assign, and oversee tasks to be given to Operations staff.
  • Provide support on all game days for Spring Training, South East League, and any other events
  • Provide support as needed at our Player Development Complex

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Suite: Office 365, PowerPoint, Excel, Word 
  • Experience and working knowledge with basic repairs in general maintenance tasks including; plumbing, painting, patching walls, etc.
  • Skilled at identifying opportunities to implement and improve upon facility standards and practices 
  • Self-starter with ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work in a fluid, fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks as needed
  • Ability to safely lift 23 kg/50 lbs.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability and willingness to perform key responsibilities listed above at our TD Ballpark location 
  • Ability and willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays as required
