Manufacturing company is seeking a Technical Buyer for its St. Petersburg, FL facility. The general duties include:
Research, develop, coach, negotiate and maintain ownership of their supply base segment in support of all company and departmental objectives regarding quality, cost, service and delivery. Balance adopted metrics and goals with current and future market conditions for all assigned parts, equipment, commodities, contracts and services. Be a liaison across a broad range of commodities, between the Manufacturing, Customer Focus and Engineering departments and their assigned supply base segment, by providing pro-active cost controls/reductions, creative negotiation strategies and critical supplier/technology development.
