We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join us on a 3-month contract, leveraging your skills to improve our accounting processes. In this role, you’ll manage AR/AP, payroll, and financial reporting while keeping the company’s financial data organized and accurate.

The ideal candidate has a proven history of working autonomously, and with functional teams demonstrating a solid foundation of accounting principles and legal compliance, and proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office and QuickBooks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.
  • Data Entry: Enter financial transactions, invoices, and other records into accounting software.
  • Invoice Management: Issue, record, and categorize invoices while ensuring accuracy and timely delivery to clients.
  • Cash & Bank Transactions: Track all cash deposits, withdrawals, and electronic transactions.
  • Expense Receipts: Organize and manage expense receipts and documentation.
  • Payment Follow-Up: Monitor invoice payments and follow up on outstanding receivables.
  • Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow, manage debt, loans, and line-of-credit reports.
  • Payroll Processing: Handle payroll tasks, including taxes, benefits, and certified payroll, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements.
  • Subcontractor Compliance: Maintain subcontractor and vendor compliance, ensuring all W-9 forms and insurance documentation are up to date.
  • Project Budgets & Lien Releases: Assist in managing and updating project budgets and processing lien releases as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in the construction industry or a similar field.
  • Strong understanding of AR/AP processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks experience preferred).
  • Familiarity with payroll processing and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in an onsite role.

Pay & Additional Details:

  • Competitive pay between $23-$27 per hour.
