JOB SUMMARY
Our title assistant performs various clerical tasks as directed by our title officers. This position is responsible for all incoming orders and searches as well as preparing documents and instructions for closing transactions, and various post-closing duties. Is responsible for making a positive first impression on walk-in visitors, as well as for answering the phones, and directing visitors and routing callers to correct destinations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communicates with clients in the opening and closing of title files
- Processes incoming orders and searches
- Processes incoming inquiries
- Responds to file status inquiries and forwards calls to the appropriate examiner
- Locates and compiles information upon request
- Prepares documents and instructions for closing transactions
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Responds quickly to a multi-line telephone system; answers and routes calls
- Greets customers, vendors, and other visitors in a courteous, friendly, and timely manner
QUALIFICATIONS
- EXPERIENCE*
One (1) to two (2) years of experience in the title industry is required.
EDUCATION
A high school diploma is required.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, INSURANCE
No certifications, licenses, or insurance are required.
KNOWLEDGE
Basic understanding of title insurance documentation (e.g., grant deeds) is preferred.

This position requires repetitive use of a keyboard, extended phone use, bending, sitting, squatting, standing, and simple grasping.
