Business is booming and we are excited to grow our team! We want to add additional Title Processors and Closers to our team! Home Loan Alliance (HLA) is a full service title company, owned and operated by GTE Financial.

The Title Agent position is a multi-faceted role requiring the ability to quickly adapt between business development, marketing, and closing duties for Home Loan Alliance Title.

Our Title Processor will:

  • Communicate with buyers, sellers, real estate agents and lenders
  • Review title commitments
  • Clear basic title issues
  • Prepare seller and buyer documents
  • Obtain estoppels and payoffs
  • Process files from opening to post closing

Our Title Closer will:

  • Aggregate all documents required for loan closings and verify information is complete and accurate.
  • Identify any informational or clerical errors and resolve quickly.
  • Must look over all the contracts involved in the transaction to ensure they are accurate and appropriate.
  • Collect money for the transaction (including escrow deposits), handle closing documents, and get all relevant parties to sign the appropriate papers when it is time to close.
  • Research the title to the property to ensure there are no problems such as undisclosed liens, boundary disputes or errors in public records that could affect the transaction or the buyer’s rights in the future.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop strong, trusting relationships between realtors, mortgage brokers, clients, agency partners, and vendors while providing leadership and support during strategy and execution.
  • Develop marketing campaigns for HLA Title that increase gross revenue with existing and prospective partners.
  • Acts as internal and external brand resource, maintaining brand equity, and brand pillars of HLA Title.
  • Maintain open and consistent dialogue with internal team on referrals, goals, and evolving services.
  • Heavily involved in the title closing process, including handling the actual closings, for committed partnerships to ensure desired service levels are maintained.
  • Ability to create status reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals is required.
  • Collaborates with internal marketing department for the execution of extensive and complex communications for internal and external customers.
  • Communicates with clients, title companies, vendors, and other financial institutions by phone, mail, e-mail, fax, or in person.
  • High level of understanding our products and offerings along with how to market them broadly.
  • Provides training to Credit Union staff as needed regarding products and referrals.
  • Displays keen ability for both mass communications and interpersonal discussions.
  • Prepares and presents high-energy, professional presentations to small and large groups on our products and services on a regular basis.
  • Schedules events, trainings, and seminars with internal and external sources to market our insurance products.
  • Tracks and prepares reports on marketing efforts using Microsoft Excel primarily.
  • Organize, prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously while being detailed oriented.
  • Participates and contributes to a positive team work environment which encourages team commitment to corporate, division, and departmental goals.
  • Ensures the confidentiality of all information and transactions regarding HLA Title, the Credit Union, its members, and its employees are held to the highest level of business ethics.
  • Assist other CUSO personnel when necessary.
  • Perform additional functions at the direction of Agency Management.
  • Must demonstrate a functional knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act in addition to other Federal laws, including but not limited to: U.S. Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets & Control, Anti-Money Laundering, Right to Financial Privacy Act, and the Bank Bribery Act.

Other Job Functions:

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Abides by all policies, procedures, and protocols set forth in the departmental, GTE Financial employee, operational and administrative policy manuals.

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Must be self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong business development and business networking skills specifically within the real estate and title closing industry.
  • Must be able to execute sales strategy to meet or exceed goals consistently.
  • Must have a working knowledge of the residential and commercial real estate closing process.
  • Great verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills in order to interact professionally and effectively with co-workers, business partners, clients, managerial and executive staff, members, the board, vendors, and government regulators.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and other computer experience required.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment such as calculators, photo/copy machines, and fax machines.
  • Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Must be organized and able to prioritize duties.
  • Good math and analytical skills.
  • Must be able to work under general supervision.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Additional hours as necessary to accomplish objectives and goals.
  • Vision (or corrected) to normal range.
  • Flexible schedule with required travel within the GTE Financial footprint.
  • Evening and weekend hours as needed to attend events.
