Citi Business Continuity Management (CBCM) is seeking an experienced Training Instructional Designer responsible for identifying and developing training content across the program. The role will also help expand the CBCM Training Program to include role-based training and enhance current offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

Work with program subject matter experts and the training working group to identify training topics, create content and develop eLearning modules. Included in this work will be the development of training strategies, detailed plans, content, recording/editing and delivery of training modules, and reporting of training metrics.

  • Plan, script, record and produce short, intuitive, easy-to-follow training videos
  • Deliver training in live instructor-led forums to large groups as needed
  • Create custom diagrams, graphics and illustrations as required
  • Assist in the updating of easy-to-follow user-facing documentation, including user guides, quick references, and other related material
  • Keep training needs of the target audience at the forefront by staying abreast of changes in business processes and application features
  • Collaborate with technical personnel, business leads and process SMEs to develop content
  • Support the product development process by actively participating in requirements gathering meetings and internal product demonstrations
  • Define success criteria and capture metrics on training effectiveness
  • Manage the distribution of documentation, upload documents to learning site, and maintain document revision standards
  • Create and maintain training content websites
  • Provide continual follow up and support to ensure recorded training and documentation material are kept up to date with application features and business processes
  • Work with Learning Management System (LMS) teams to publish content, troubleshoot issues, generate metric reports, etc.
  • Provide support for staff on training related issues
  • Collaborate with training working group and quality review unit to identify gaps that can be remediated through training
  • Publish monthly highlights to keep user community informed of training updates
  • Liaise with translation vendors as needed

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science, English or Business or equivalent experience required
  • Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal skills are necessary
  • Very strong public presentation and communication skills; comfortable presenting to large audiences across multiple time zones (e.g. evening sessions for Asia, etc.) when required
  • 6+ years of experience in business process and application training, technical writing, instructional design, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proven innovative skills to develop alternatives to traditional training, familiarity with new training methods, and ways of capturing training effectiveness
  • Experience with delivering virtual and live training sessions
  • Experience with creating training content and delivery schedules
  • Experience translating functional specifications and business requirements into training and user-friendly documentation
  • Strong ability to identify content gaps in material and the corresponding questions to ask in order to obtain the needed information
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Articulate, Brainshark or other training delivery platforms a plus
  • Must have U.S. work authorization, this position is not sponsoring visas
  • Technically knowledgeable in software and hardware systems and development methods an asset
