Job Summary
The treasury accountant is responsible for tracking, maintaining, and overseeing the daily movement of cash on the company’s bank accounts. In this position, your job duties are to keep track of multiple accounts associated with the business.
Job Accountabilities
- Checks figures and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes
- Classifies, records, and summarizes numerical and financial data using journals and ledgers or computers
- Maintains accounts, ledgers, journals, files, reports and other documentation for departmental or company accounts
- Determines current financial balances to produce schedules, summary reports, trial balances, income statements, and/or financial statements in accordance with accounting methods
Job Qualifications
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Related Field
- Minimum Experience (Level II): 3+ Years
- Knowledge in office software like Microsoft Excel and experience in cash handling.
- Credit Verification to ensure employee is fiscally responsible.

Treasury Accounting Job Requirements:
- Responsible for cash reporting and cash forecasting processes for multiple entities.
- Prepares and uploads Positive Pay and ACH Files for CFO/Controller Release
- Prepares wire transactions for CFO/Controller/President Release
- Prepares all related journal entries for various cash transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Manage bank statement reconciliation (Controller/Assistant Controller to prepare GL reconciliations to ensure accountability)
- Responsible for maintaining the Global Inventory and Borrowing Base Reports
- Ensures compliance with internal policies, agency rules and regulations, and generally accepted accounting principles.
- Reviews and analyzes reports for accuracy prior to distribution.
- Clarifies or researches issues as necessary.
- Provides input for the development of reports, forms, records and documented procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
