Underwriter – Property – Job Description

Our client is currently seeking to add a Property Underwriter to their Clearwater, FL office. This person would be responsible for evaluating new business submissions, pricing and servicing insurance policies within the accepted company guidelines. In addition, this person would be responsible for maintaining broker relationships and managing profitability in various insurance programs.

Underwriter – Property – Qualifications

Required:

3 + years of Property Underwriting experience

Effectively collaborate within the Underwriting, Operations, Product Management, Claims, and Marketing team

Reviews applications and additional information to determine risk acceptability for the program(s) available within underwriting authority

Evaluate the loss potential due to catastrophe, severity, and/or frequency

Preferred:

2-20, 20-44PL, or 4-40 licensure

Bachelor’s Degree
