Founded in early 2008, Fay Servicing committed to providing innovative servicing solutions for both performing and non-performing mortgage loans. Come join us on our journey to serve our customers and be the leader in our industry! We are currently looking for a VP of Acquisitions to join our GenStone team.
What you will do for GenStone:

  • Work with leaders across the organization including, but not limited to (Genstone Realty, Constructive Renovations, TC&E, Constructive Insurance and Genstone Property Management) to partner and execute on acquisitions strategy
  • Build, coach, mentor, and develop a team to support the property acquisition efforts of the company and our clients
  • Performance manage team to achieve stated goals and metrics
  • Work with potential and existing clients on development of buy box criteria, markets, expansion and overall strategy.
  • Establish criteria and strategies to evaluate house quality, after repair value, standards for purchasing, influencing the development of proprietary software and workflow to support activity and continuous improvement for automation efficiencies and quality
  • Create and maintain department KPI’s. Monitor and review transactions to ensure organizational and portfolio goals are achieved
  • Implement reporting and analytics of acquisitions data and team productivity. Assist in preparing presentations to clients and all stakeholders at all levels
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures to effectively and efficiently acquire properties from all channels and markets

What you will bring to Genstone:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Real Estate, Finance or equivalent work experience and/or education; High school diploma/GED required
  • Broker license preferred but not required
  • Minimum 7 + years of progressive experience in the real estate industry
  • Minimum 3 + years leading medium scale teams and multiple markets
  • Deep knowledge evaluating market value of properties and market trends
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding various acquisitions channels to have the ability to create deal flow across all opportunities available (MLS, Commercial Brokers, Auction, REO)
  • Be an expert at underwriting homes individual and at scale
  • Extreme attention to detail and high degree of ownership
  • Residential real estate investment, brokerage experience and/or REO asset manager experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including expert usage of Excel and Power Point
  • Ability to anticipate organizational needs, is self-motivated, and takes initiative
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects and people with strict deadlines attached
  • High degree of comfort with change, technology and ambiguity
  • Proven problem solving, analytical, troubleshooting and time-management skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with senior management, clients and outside vendors
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
