Role and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the VP of Asset Management, the VP Construction-Asset Management is responsible for a portfolio of value-add multifamily projects focusing on interior, exterior and amenity upgrade programs
- Act as liaison between Owner and General Contractor construction company in the implementation of the value-add multifamily upgrade programs
- Monitor Construction, Immediate Need Repairs and Lender required repairs while acting as liaison with Lenders
- Monitor returns on interior renovations to maximize total returns for the asset
- Assist with the creation, implementation and monitoring of capital budgets
- Work with accounting to track and submit lender draw funding requests
- Implement national procurement efforts to maximize capital spend efforts
- Review and sign contracts for all contracts/agreements for goods and services
- Identify opportunities to leverage technology resulting in streamlined operations, improvement of the Company’s efficiency and effectiveness and producing overall better results.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- 10+ years previous construction management/real estate experience
- Experience with property management software, preferably Yardi database
- High school diploma or equivalent (minimum), with college preferable

- Ability to multi-task while remaining highly organized to complete assignments in a timely manner
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Flexible and proven ability to prioritize projects with a sense of urgency
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint
- Self-starter who has the ability to learn quickly and work as an integral part of a team, as well as independently with minimal supervision
