Role and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the VP of Asset Management, the VP Construction-Asset Management is responsible for a portfolio of value-add multifamily projects focusing on interior, exterior and amenity upgrade programs

  • Act as liaison between Owner and General Contractor construction company in the implementation of the value-add multifamily upgrade programs
  • Monitor Construction, Immediate Need Repairs and Lender required repairs while acting as liaison with Lenders
  • Monitor returns on interior renovations to maximize total returns for the asset
  • Assist with the creation, implementation and monitoring of capital budgets
  • Work with accounting to track and submit lender draw funding requests
  • Implement national procurement efforts to maximize capital spend efforts
  • Review and sign contracts for all contracts/agreements for goods and services
  • Identify opportunities to leverage technology resulting in streamlined operations, improvement of the Company’s efficiency and effectiveness and producing overall better results.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • 10+ years previous construction management/real estate experience
  • Experience with property management software, preferably Yardi database
  • High school diploma or equivalent (minimum), with college preferable
