GENERAL SUMMARY:
Plan, coach and administer all field construction activities while maintaining frequent communication with President and other departments. May manage some or all of other functions shown above.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Manages and administers field activities including setting goals and objectives for staff supervisors pursuant to approved plans, specifications, master contracts, building codes, and company development schedule and cost budgets.
-Supervises, directs and coaches direct reports, including managing other functions as required by Region/Division organizational structure.
-Ensures staff receives training on and follows Company and Region/Division construction, quality control and safety methods and procedures.
-Coordinates schedules, construction staff and production with President and senior staff to accomplish goals and objectives of business plan.
-Maintains frequent communication with President and other departments; has department meetings to keep current with and to disseminate information to staff; has pre-construction meetings with subcontractors and staff.
Desired Skills and Experience
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
-Ten years in construction with strong background in supervision and personnel management.
-High school graduate or equivalent. College graduate preferred.
-Extensive knowledge of on- and off-site residential construction procedures.
-Ability to motivate, supervise and coordinate field and office staff on daily basis.
-May have occasion to lift/carry and/or push/pull 25 pounds.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
-Typical office environment.
-Construction sites where temperature, weather and noise may vary; may encounter electrical, dust, poor ventilation, dangerous machinery and moving objects and toxic conditions.
