The Web Content Specialist serves as part of the Marketing & Business Development (MBD) team, reporting to the Marketing Technology Director. This position will touch all aspects of the firm’s website; creating, managing, and optimizing online content to support our brand’s digital presence.
Key Responsibilities
Organizational Content Accuracy
- Proactively manage and update website content, ensuring alignment with best practices, including keywords, meta descriptions, tagging, and back-end functionality as well as established internal standards.
- Train and support peers on content management systems (CMS) and digital publishing processes.
- Collaborate with our Content, Communications and Media teams to maintain an editorial content calendar to organize content delivery dates to ensure unified campaigns.
Content Development
- Create, post, edit, and maintain web pages for existing and future sites for Fisher Phillips.
- Collaborate with staff across all Fisher Phillips departments to keep existing pages updated, user friendly, and on brand.
- Develop and implement digital content strategies that align with our organization’s goals and target audience, introducing new features and functionalities.
- Ensure that all posted website content upholds our branding voice and branding guidelines.
- Recommend content development based on competitor analysis and voice authority.
AI and Search Engine Optimization
- Conduct thorough keyword research to identify relevant search terms and opportunities for content optimization.
- Optimize website content, including landing pages, blog posts, and product pages, to improve search visibility and user experience.
- User experience, prioritizing factors like page speed, mobile responsiveness, and overall site usability.
- Keyword Research: Identify which words and phrases will yield fast and noticeable results in search rankings.
Website Analytics
- Leverage Google Analytics and similar measurement tools to make strategic website recommendations and decisions.
- Collaborate with appropriate internal groups to develop targeted content in relationship to trends we are seeing in our analytics.
- Monitor and analyze website key performance indicators (KPIs) and campaign metrics, such as traffic, bounce rate, and conversion rate, to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions.
General Tasks
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and developments in SEO and digital marketing and proactively recommend new strategies and tactics to improve our online presence.
- Post thought leadership insights & media content to the firm’s website.
- Send email alerts and insights through the Firm’s email automation tool.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Technology Team to produce analytic reports of monthly webinar stats, email campaigns, social media engagement and website traffic.
- Support additional marketing technology projects as assigned.
Requirements

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized.
- At least 3 years of marketing experience, preferably in a law firm or other professional services organization.
- A bachelor’s or advanced degree in business, marketing, communications, journalism or a related field or law.
- Some travel required among assigned offices, as well as to various meetings and conferences.
